The property owner, Caroline, often received accommodation requests for just one bedroom. As La Maison was not suitable for this purpose, she decided to meet this expectation. This is how La Suite was born.

So that everyone feels at home, Caroline has placed strong emphasis on COMFORT through her use of accessories, features and lighting. A true invitation to serenity and wellbeing.

AN IDEAL LOCATION

La Suite is tucked into the HISTORIC HEART OF BEAUNE, on Rue des Tonneliers, less than 10 minutes on foot from the STATION, from the Hôtel-Dieu, restaurants, and Place Carnot. The bakery, for croissants and fresh baguettes in the morning, is situated on the corner of the street.

Completely renovated, this 35m² apartment is located on the GROUND FLOOR of an old property, a small 2-storey building, five minutes on foot from La Maison.

WARMTH & ELEGANCE

The atmosphere is filled with warmth and elegance: To conserve the cachet of the old property, the owner, an interior decorator and artist, has retained the imposing FIREPLACE (on which the coat of arms of the Abbé de Cîteaux is displayed on the fireback), the old stone sink, and the original beams.

On the floor, Persian rugs give warmth to the large original flagstones in Burgundy stone. A delightful blue colour scheme, engravings, tastefully restored furniture, thick rugs, delicate wall lighting, a Napoleon III mirror, and bookshelves brimming with books…
The charm has its effect. Everyone who has rented it has said they ‘felt really good’ there.

A WELL-APPOINTED SPACE

The small entryway has been fitted for luggage and coat storage. The living room is filled with light thanks to two double-glazed windows dressed with thick curtains that open onto a street that is very quiet at night. A deep sofa sits in an alcove in which occupants can chill out as they curl up to watch television or have a drink. An old trunk from the attic acts as a coffee table. Two delicate chairs with beautiful upholstered backs at either side of an old oval table make a delicious breakfast-for-two very attractive. The discreet mini kitchen is as practical as a large one because of storage and kitchen appliances.

The cosy bedroom complete with bedclothes of irreproachable comfort (queen-size bed) and a wardrobe judiciously set into the wall, gives off a cosy feeling, conducive to rest. The practical and aesthetic bathroom is very functional, with its slate walk-in shower and separate toilet.

A WELCOME BY THE OWNER

Caroline will help to organise your stay and will welcome you to an apartment that has been prepared especially for you. She will share her favourite addresses so you can really enjoy the Beaune town experience. You can contact her at any time during your stay.

Upon arrival, the BED is made up. Sheets (fitted sheet, quilt cover and pillow cases in pure white cotton).
Everything is available in your BATHROOM to welcome you. Bath sheets and soft thick towels. Soap, shampoo, body lotion. Hair dryer. Toilet paper. Box of tissues. Heated towel rail.

In the KITCHEN cupboards, you will find tea bags, coffee capsules, oil, vinegar, sugar, paper napkins, cleaning products, bin bags and kitchen towel, saucepans, old-style tableware and silver cutlery.

It’s easy to park your vehicle in the street (parking metres). The Lorraine car park, free public parking with telemonitoring, is situated 10 minutes on foot from the apartment. A covered paid car park open to the public is accessible, 5 minutes away on foot (Saint Etienne car park).

The bakery is situated on the corner of the street, a minimarket a few metres further along, restaurants and tourist spots just a few hundred metres away on foot.

BEING WELL-EQUIPPED IS IMPORTANT

La Suite de l’Oiselier has been designed and equipped for 2 people to stay comfortably.

  • The Wi-Fi works perfectly.
  • The electric radiators are easily controlled.
  • The kitchen is fitted with induction plates, a microwave oven and a large fridge with a freezer compartment, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a kettle.
  • An iron and ironing board, and a luggage rack, are at your disposal.
  • In the living room, there is a flat screen television.

LA SUITE: BOOKINGS

La SUITE of La Maison de l’Oiselier can be rented for two, three or four nights depending on the time of year.

- Prices are on a sliding scale depending on the length of stay.
- Heating, water, electricity and tourist tax are included in the rental price.

RESERVATION CONDITIONS :

Confirmation of your reservation implies full acceptance of these conditions

Réservation :
A deposit of 50% of the cost of your stay is payable upon reservation. Your reservation will not be confirmed until payment is made. The balance will be requested 15 days prior to your arrival.
Housekeeping/laundry service:
a forfeit of €35 per stay will be added to the price of the stay.
Security deposit:
a security deposit of €350 will be requested when you pay the balance for your stay. This sum will not be cashed; we will take a bank card imprint. Upon arrival, you must sign the inventory/list of fixtures.
Cancellation of stay:
The deposit will be returned to you if you cancel more than 60 days prior to the expected date of arrival. The deposit will not be returned if you cancel between 60 and 16 days prior to the expected date of arrival. If you cancel in the 15 days prior to your expected date of arrival, if you do not turn up, or shorten the length of your stay, the total rental price is due. We recommend you take out cancellation insurance (3.8% of the rental price) through Albinet

House rules:

  • Arrivals are between 5 PM and 8 PM – Departures before 11 AM (unless prior arrangement).
  • This is a non-smoking apartment.
  • The apartment does not admit children. No extra bed is available.
  • The apartment sleeps a maximum of 2 people.
  • The apartment shall be left on departure in the same state in which you found it upon arrival (empty bottles and rubbish disposed of, dishes put away). Any loss or damages shall be signalled immediately.
  • Well-behaved pets are welcome upon request, at an additional charge.
  • The renter shall take out a multi-risk home insurance contract which includes a special ‘holiday let’ clause or ‘outside the home’ public liability clause.
